Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Master Controller ("the app") is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. This policy explains what the app does and does not do.
What we collect
Nothing. Master Controller has no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no remote servers. We never see how you use the app.
How it works
- The iPhone/Apple Watch app and the Mac helper communicate directly with each other over your local Wi-Fi network. Data (cursor movement, clicks, scrolling, keystrokes) is sent only between your own devices.
- No data is sent to us or any third party. There is no cloud component.
- Pairing uses a PIN shown on your Mac to prevent other devices on the network from connecting.
Permissions we use
- Local Network: to discover and connect to your Mac on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Motion & Gyroscope: to move the cursor when you wave the device ("air mouse"). This data stays on the device and is only converted into cursor movement sent to your Mac.
- Accessibility (Mac helper only): required by macOS so the helper can move the cursor and send clicks/keys. This permission is used solely for that purpose and grants us no access to your data.
Data storage
App preferences (such as theme and sensitivity) are stored locally on your device only. Nothing leaves your devices.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
